You may also want to act as fast as you could. This is not only for you own good. In poker, it is true that acting slowly rouses suspicion in your opponents; they would doubt if you really have a good hand if you raise. Not acting slowly is also a good manner in poker. Nobody wants to play with anyone who takes an eternity to act. Although you are given time to act, you should not abuse it by taking too much time. The poker game becomes slow and boring when the players take a long time to call, raise or fold. That is why in some online poker sites, there is a time limit for each turn. If you exceed that, your hand will automatically be folded. Admit it, even you do not want to play with a slow poker player, so do not be one.
